NATIVE

Habit: Plant < 2.2 m; bulb spreading-elongate, scales (1)2--3-segmented, longest 1--3 cm. 


Leaf: in 1--4 whorls, spreading, drooping at tips, 7.5--17.5 cm; margin not wavy. 

Inflorescence: flowers 1--15(25), pendent. 

Flower: +- widely bell-shaped, mild-fragrant; perianth parts 4.2--6 cm, reflexed in distal 60%, yellow or yellow-orange; filaments diverging, anthers 3--6 mm, magenta or dull red, pollen orange, tan-orange, or red-brown; pistil 2.5--3.5 cm. 

Fruit: 1.5--3 cm. 

Ecology: Hillside seeps, wet thickets, streamsides in subalpine forest; 

Elevation: 2200--3300 m. 

Bioregional Distribution: c&s SNH. 

Flowering Time: Jul--Aug 

Note: Intergrades with Lilium parvum in southern Mono Co.
