NATIVE
Habit: Annual 15--45 cm, +- stiffly spreading-hairy, glandular. 

Leaf: 20--75 mm, lance-linear; lobes 0--7. 

Inflorescence: 20--50 cm, 2.5--4 cm wide; bracts 12--25 mm, lobes 5--7, linear, tipped cream to pale yellow (pale purple). 

Flower: calyx 15--25 mm, +- equally divided +- 2/3; corolla 15--30 mm, +- white, +- yellow, or +- rose, beak 4--5 mm, straight, puberulent, lower lip 3--4 mm, pouches 4--5 mm wide, +- 2 mm deep, purple-dotted at base; filaments glabrous; stigma exserted, +- 2-lobed. 

Fruit: 7--9 mm. 

Seed: +- 1 mm; coat +- deeply netted, loose-fitting. 

Ecology: Grassland; 

Elevation: < 1800 m.
