Habit: Plants generally all pistillate. 

Stem: not glandular; stolons short. 

Leaf: basal 8--40 mm, spoon- to wedge-shaped, 1-veined, +- gray-tomentose. 

Inflorescence: heads 3--16; inflorescence cyme-like; involucre base hairy; phyllaries wide, acute, tips white, rose, +- yellow, or +- brown. 

Fruit: 0.7--1.8 mm, papillate or smooth.
